SIKESTON -- Gladys Marie Baker, 94, of Sikeston died Friday, April 14, 2000, at Sikeston Convalescent Center.
She was born March 11, 1906, at Matthews, daughter of Homer and Leona Barbara Morris Henson. She married Orbra Irell Baker, who died in 1938.
Baker had lived in Sikeston most of her life. She was a member of Temple of Faith Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, John Baker of House Springs, Orbra Baker of St. Louis, Harvey Baker of Sacramento, Calif.; two daughters, Jean Hoskins of Salinas, Calif., Tora Manor of Sacramento; two sisters, Delpha Higdon of Sikeston, Nina Pennington of Bloomfield; 24 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and 43 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons and four sisters.
Friends may call at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Loy Miller officiating. Burial will be in Matthews Cemetery at Matthews.
