SIKESTON, Mo. -- Giva Marie Hill, 90, of Sikeston died Wednesday, July 26, 2006, at her home.
She was born July 23, 1916, in Center Ridge, Ark., daughter of Issac Newton and Mary Magdalene Smith Bradley. She and Odis A. Hill were married July 2, 1932, in Cedar Ridge, Ark. He died Aug. 12, 1995.
Hill was a member of Miner Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Randall Hill of Garland, Texas, Odis Hill of Memphis, Tenn., Paul Hill of Blodgett, Mo.; six daughters, Mary Stallings and Karen Lawson of Spokane, Wash., Nina James and Latisha Kirtley of Sikeston, Brenda Shields of Chaffee, Mo., Carolyn Clark of Bloomfield, Mo.; 26 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, three brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Mitch Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
