ADVANCE, Mo. -- Virginia Belle "Ginny" Reutzel, 74, of Advance passed away Monday, Sept. 14, 2009, in Camp Hill, Pa. She was born Oct. 25, 1934, in Petersburg, W.Va., daughter of Johnny Elmer and Mary Jane Swick Mayle. She and Forest Gene Reutzel Sr. were married Dec. 15, 1949, in Cumberland, Md. He preceded her in death Jan. 9, 2009...

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Virginia Belle "Ginny" Reutzel, 74, of Advance passed away Monday, Sept. 14, 2009, in Camp Hill, Pa.

She was born Oct. 25, 1934, in Petersburg, W.Va., daughter of Johnny Elmer and Mary Jane Swick Mayle. She and Forest Gene Reutzel Sr. were married Dec. 15, 1949, in Cumberland, Md. He preceded her in death Jan. 9, 2009.

Ginny had been owner and operator of Ginny's Beauty Shop in Advance. She also prepared taxes. She was a member of Advance United Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include two sons, Forest Gene (Linda) Reutzel Jr. and George William (Denise) Reutzel, all of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Sherri Anthony of Advance; three brothers, Donald Mayle of Winchester, Va., Carl Mayle of Petersburg, Johnny Mayle of Martinsburg, W.Va.; and a sister, Mary Alice Cain of Martinsburg.

Also five grandchildren, Jamie Anthony of Dexter, Mo., Cinnamon Dockery of Advance, Griffan Reutzel, Bailey Reutzel and Aja (Michele) Reutzel, all of Cape Girardeau; three great-grandchildren, Aaron and Austin Arnold of Advance, Kaitlyn Reutzel of Cape Girardeau; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Wilma Mae Keplinger and Linda Mayle; three brothers, Bobby, Jesse Elmer and George Edward Mayle.

Visitation will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Morgan Funeral Home. An Order of Eastern Star service will be held at 6:30.

The funeral will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Virgil Bunch and the Rev. Jerry Willer officiating. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
