PERRYVILLE - Gilmore Prost, 80, of Perryville, died Friday, May 21, 1993, at his home.
He was born July 6, 1912, in Highland, to Emmett and Wilhemina Huber Prost.
On Jan. 14, 1939, he married Valma Lee Rushing in Perryville. She survives, along with one son, James J. Prost of Chester, Ill.; three daughters, Rosalee Lurk of Columbus, Ohio, Margie Brown of Ste. Genevieve, and Ann Koenig of Perryville.
Other survivors include one brother, Bob Prost of Perryville, 10 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Prost owned and operated an alfalfa mill in Perryville. He was a past Perryville city alderman, and past member of the Perry County School Board.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, and a member of the church's Holy Name Society.
Prost was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m., today, at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish prayers will be recited at 7 p.m., today, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held Monday, at 10 a.m., at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, with the Rev. J. Edward Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the St. Boniface Cemetery in Perryville.
