DIXON, Ill. -- Gilberte France Malone, 84, of Dixon died Friday, Aug. 4, 2006, at her residence in Dixon.

She was born Oct. 22, 1921, in Cognac, France, daughter of James and France Barrit Mezereau. She and Henry E. Malone were married on April 5, 1973, in Cape Girardeau.

Malone was a sales clerk at Montgomery Ward and Dollar General.

Survivors include her husband, Henry Malone of Dixon; a daughter, Rose-Noelle Delavaud of France; a sister, Jeannine Surault of Poitiers, France; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Lindsey Cemetery in McClure, Ill., with the Rev. Jim Cooper officiating.

Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
