Geringer, 84, died Friday, Aug. 1, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 7, 1912, in Cape Girardeau, son of Anton and Rosa Schott Geringer.

Geringer retired as an electrician with Civil Service. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson. Geringer was a radio technician in the U.S. Navy from 1942-45.

Survivors include two sisters, Nora Crosnoe of Cape Girardeau and Ida Dohogne of Memphis, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.
