CHARLESTON -- Gilbert Clyde Galemore, 83, of Hermitage, Tenn., died Thursday, March 25, 1993, at Donelson Hospital in Donelson, Tenn.
He was born March 2, 1910, in Middlebrook, Ark., son of William Logan and Alice E. Kidd Galemore. He and Eva Marie Laughlin were married June 7, 1930. She died April 19, 1987.
Formerly of Charleston, he retired from Wyatt Cotton Co. in 1975. He was a member of Charleston Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Galemore of Hermitage, Warren Galemore of East Prairie; three daughters, Barbara Bethel of Flint, Mich., Peggy Holman of Hermitage, Alice O'Connor of Charleston; a sister, Lorene Williams of Doniphan; 16 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son and two grandsons.
Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at McMikle Funeral Chapel. Marion Ferrell will officiate, with burial in IOOF Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.
