SIKESTON -- Geva N. Cumpton, 78, of Sikeston, died Monday, March 1, 1993, at her home.
She was born Sept. 21, 1914, at Kennett, daughter of Tom and Myrtie Green Evans. She and Cecil Cumpton were married Jan. 30, 1932, in Piggott, Ark.
Cumpton had been a bookkeeper at Locke Distributing. She moved here 34 years ago from Cape Girardeau. Cumpton was a member of Sikeston Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors include two daughters, Saundra Colley of Sikeston, Ginger Fisher of Marion, Ill.; a brother, Gene Evans of Independence; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel here. Elder Randy Haley will officiate, assisted by Clarence Booker. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
