Gertrude Wachter

Gertrude Wilma Wachter, 86, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2001, at The Lutheran Home.

She was born July 20, 1915, in Frohna, Mo., daughter of Joseph R. and Edna I. Hellwege Mueller.

She and Edwin H. Wachter were married April 18, 1937. He preceded her in death.

Wachter was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a sister, Norma Snell of Cape Girardeau; two stepsisters, Norma Meyr of Cape Girardeau, Frieda Reisenbichler of New Wells, Mo., and a stepbrother, Clarence Grebing of Frohna.

She was preceded in death by two daughters and a son.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of service today at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Douglas Breite officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
