Gertrude D. Sutton, 81, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, May 22, 2001, at the Lutheran Home. She was born June 14, 1919, in St. Louis. She married Boyd Sutton, who preceded her in death. Gertrude D. Sutton, 81, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, May 22, 2001, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born June 14, 1919, in St. Louis. She married Boyd Sutton, who preceded her in death.
Sutton worked in housekeeping at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis a number of years. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral.

Survivors include her guardian, Carolyn Taylor of Cape Girardeau.
She was preceded in death by two sons.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 5-7 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 5.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Cathedral. Msgr. Richard Rolwing will officiate. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
