GERTRUDE SCHWARTZ

BENTON -- Funeral mass for Lillian Gertrude Schwartz of Benton will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Denis Catholic Church, with the Rev. Normand Varone officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton after 4 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 6:30.

Schwartz, 72, died Monday, Aug. 21, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Aug. 9, 1923, at Glen Allen, daughter of Fred Victor and Ruth Aldrich Burns. She and Herman Louis Schwartz were married Feb. 23, 1941, at Ancell.

Schwartz was a member of St. Denis Church and its Ladies Sodality.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Herman Schwartz Jr. of Benton, Terrance Schwartz of Jackson; three daughters, Dorothy Plumb and Darlene Ford of Cape Girardeau, Belinda Schwartz of St. Petersburg Beach, Fla.; four sisters, Georgia Graham, Margriete Proctor, Mildred Graham, all of Benton, Aline Compas of Kelso; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
