CAIRO, Ill. -- Funeral Mass for Gertrude Raeth of Cairo will be held at noon Thursday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. The Rev. Jerome Fortenberry will officiate, with burial in Calvary Cemetery at Villa Ridge.
Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo from 10-11:30 a.m. Thursday.
Raeth, 91, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
She was born April 8, 1907, in Cairo, daughter of Joseph and Agatha Bisworm Raeth.
Raeth formerly owned Day-Raeth Sundries in Cairo, and was a member of St. Patrick's Church.
Survivors include a niece, Eleanor Sauget of Belleville; and a friend, Eugene Oehler of Cairo.
