GERTRUDE R. BOYD

CAIRO, Ill. -- Gertrude R. Boyd, 87, of Cairo, died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 1991, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Aug. 3, 1904, in Cairo, daughter of George and Mary Ann Ich Eschmann. She married Harry A. Boyd, who died in 1972.

Boyd was a member of Cairo Baptist Church, American Legion Auxiliary and Cairo Senior Citizens.

Survivors include a niece, Mary Shelton of Paris, Tenn., and a great-niece, Mary Montemayor of Dallas, Texas.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Cairo Baptist Church. The Rev. Larry Potts will officiate, with burial in Wickliffe Cemetery.

Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home from 4-6 p.m. today, and at the church Friday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
