GERTRUDE LAFARLETTE

PATTON -- Gertrude L. Lafarlette, 89, of Patton died Saturday, May 20, 1995, at Madison Memorial Hospital in Fredericktown.

She was born July 29, 1905, in Perry County, the daughter of August and Roselle Moore Kiefer. She married Floyd Lafarlette in 1926, and he preceded her in death.

Lafarlette was a retired inspector at Silver and Gold Plating Co.

Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Chalk of Patton; four brothers, Jess Kiefer and Robert Kiefer of Perryville, George Kiefer of Long Beach, Calif., and August Kiefer of Washington; four sisters, Marge Martin of Perryville, Dorothy Seitz of Green River, Wyo., Virginia Sprague of Forsyth, Mont., and Alice Stanhope of Billings, Mont.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by six brothers and four sisters.

Friends may call from 5:30-9 p.m. today and from 6:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday at the Young & Sons Funeral Home in Perryville, where funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Mabrey Wampler will officiate, and burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
