Gertrude Kirn

Gertrude Ann Kirn, 87, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, March 25, 2016, at Ratliff Care Center.

She was born June 9, 1928, in Cape Girardeau to Charles and Gertrude Warnaka Kirn.

Gertrude was a secretary at Florsheim Shoe Factory for 46 years, retiring in 1990. She was a member of St. Mary Cathedral.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Isabel Kirn of Cape Girardeau; a nephew, Michael C. Kirn of Jackson; and three nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, August W. Kirn and Henry C. Kirn; and a niece, Susan Ely.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Joseph Kelly officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
