LEOPOLD -- Gertrude Ann Jansen, 81, of Leopold died Saturday, Oct. 16, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born March 5, 1918, at Leopold, daughter of George J. and Bernadina Tenholder Vandeven. She and Louis J. Jansen were married April 12, 1939. He died Nov. 13, 1986.
She was a member of the St. John's Catholic Church of Leopold, the Senior Legion of Mary and the Council of Catholic women.
Survivors include four sons, Alvin Jansen of Marietta, Ga., Ronald Jansen of Leopold, David Jansen and Thomas Jansen, both of Marble Hill; four daughters, Paulette Cook and Ruth Vangennip, both of Marble Hill, Judy Looney of Cape Girardeau and Geralyn Eeftink of Leopold; three brothers, Hubert Vandeven of Cedar Hill, Irvin Vandeven of Leopold and Raymond Vandeven of Festus; 31 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call after 4:30 p.m. today at the Liley Funeral Home at Marble Hill. Parish Prayers and a K of C Rosary by Council 5898 will be at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John's Catholic Church. The Rev. Bill Huggins will officiate, with burial to follow at the church cemetery.
