Gertrude Caroline Faust, 98, of Cape Girardeau, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 1994, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Dec. 25, 1895, in Boston, Mass., daughter of Hermann L. and Ernestine Schwolow Hoyer. She and Robert Anton Faust were married Oct. 3, 1919, in Cape Girardeau. He died Dec. 10, 1983.
Faust had lived in Cape Girardeau since 1902. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include a son, Robert Faust Jr. of Florissant; a daughter, Dorothy Dillon of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Carl Hoyer of Torrance, Calif.; a sister, Erna Sullenger of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Ford and sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at the chapel at 11 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. Steven MacDougall officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
