GERTRUDE A. GREEN

Funeral service for Gertrude A. Green of Cape Girardeau will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Jeffrey Sippy will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.

Green, 84, died Tuesday, Aug. 2, 1994, at Ratliff Nursing Home.

She was born Sept. 14, 1909, at Seventy Six, daughter of Albert and Mary Elizabeth Farrar Swan. She and Harold G. Green Sr. were married Dec. 9, 1939, in Cape Girardeau. He died Nov. 14, 1982.

Green worked at Lowenbaum Dress Factory 32 years, retiring in June 1975.

Survivors include a son, Harold Green Jr. of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Jean Wibbenmeyer and Mary Gonzales of Cape Girardeau, Haroletta Schlimme of Burfordville; two sisters, Roberta Cotner and Alice Haman of Cape Girardeau; 15 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, three sisters and a grandson.
