SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Gertis Head, 85, of Scott City died Friday, Dec. 15, 2000, at his home.
He was born June 17, 1915, in Alabama.
He and Cordie Padgett were married in 1936. She died in 1967. He and Idalene Brant were married in 1975. She died in 1999.
He was a self-employed farmer.
Survivors include: four sons, R.L. Head, Neelyville, Mo., Paul Head, Gray Ridge, Mo., Kenneth Head and Mike Head, both of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; three daughters, Betty Wrinkle of Union, Mo., Diane Caudle of Neelyville, and Sheila Whitaker, Festus Mo.; a stepbrother, Robert Brown, Portageville, Mo.; three stepsons, Eddie Brant and Randy Brant of Massachusetts, and Larry Brant of Scott City; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 18 stepgrandchildren; and 17 stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City after 4 p.m. today.
Funeral will be held at Sunday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Wardell Memorial Cemetery at Wardell in Pemiscot County.
