PATTON -- Gertie Louise Blanford, 94, of Patton died Friday, Sept. 10, 1999, at her home. She was born March 1, 1905, in Burlington, Vt., daughter of Norman Louis and Mary Louise Francis Wescott. She and George Blanford were married in January 1921...

PATTON -- Gertie Louise Blanford, 94, of Patton died Friday, Sept. 10, 1999, at her home.

She was born March 1, 1905, in Burlington, Vt., daughter of Norman Louis and Mary Louise Francis Wescott. She and George Blanford were married in January 1921.

Blanford lived most of her life in Fredericktown.

Survivors include two daughters, Toni Umfleet Harper of Sikeston, Marilyn Shoemake of Patton; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sons, a daughter, two brothers, and two sisters.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Patton from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Marcus Memorial Cemetery at Fredericktown.
