Gerri M. Lawson, 62, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, April 30, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Feb. 2, 1942, at Benton, Mo., daughter of Victor and Lillie LeDure Welter. She and James Lawson were married Jan. 22, 1983, at Benton.
Lawson was a retired LPN.
Survivors include her husband; five sons, David Mize, Paul Mize, Rick Mize, all of Jackson, Tom Mize Jr. of Salem, Ala., Chuck Lawson of Maryville, Ill.; five daughters, Cathy Dietl of Jackson, Bev Poole of Paducah, Ky., Linda Lawson of Benton, Ill., Sheri Barnett of Maryville, Barb Davison of Auburn, Kan.; seven brothers, Jerome Welter of Fredericktown, Mo., Murphy Welter, Dudley Welter, Mike Welter of Benton, Mo., Gary Welter of Cape Girardeau; Larry Welter of St. Louis, Charlie Welter of Sikeston, Mo.; three sisters, Patsy Peters of Marble Hill, Mo., Linda Mungle of Benton, Mo., Vickie Wilson of Sikeston; and 19 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg St. Chapel. The rosary will be at 7 p.m.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Scott Sunnenberg officiating. Entombment will be in Cape County Memorial Park mausoleum.
