Geraldine Tharp

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Geraldine M. Tharp, 76, of Perryville died Friday, June 12, 2015, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Dec. 2, 1938, in Cape Girardeau to the late Byron and Gladys Holmes Lorenz. She married John Wilburn Tharp on March 3, 1957 at Cedar Fork Church.

Geraldine had worked for Farmington Manufacturing, as well as Gilster-Marylee Popcorn Factory in McBride, Missouri, and was a member of Cedar Fork Church.

She is survived by her husband, John of Perryville; one son, Lloyd (Tina) Tharp of Ste. Genevieve County, Missouri; and two grandsons, Austin and Zachary Tharp of Ste. Genevieve County.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Joy Halpin.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 6:30 a.m. until time of service Monday at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Miller Family Chapel, with the Rev. Bob Hudson officiating. Interment will be at Cedar Fork Cemetery.
