LANSING, Mich. - Funeral services will be held Monday for Geraldine Summers Bell, formerly of Cape Girardeau. She died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 1991, in Lansing, where she had resided for 15 years. She was 84.
She was a member of the Centenary Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau and had worked for many years at Missouri Utilities, retiring in 1971. She had attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale and was a teacher for a time.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, John Doyle Summers in 1949 and Charles Bell in 1956.
Survivors include a daughter, Jerry Lee Summers Brown of Lansing, Mich.; two sons, John Doyle Jr. of Independence, Mo., and Joe W. Summers of Tampa, Fla.; a sister, Leone Wehner of Florida; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The funeral will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at the Tiffany Funeral Home in Lansing, Mich. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
