Geraldine Moore

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Geraldine "Jerrie" Ellen Moore of Advance gained her heavenly reward Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at the age of 95.

She was born May 21, 1926, one of nine children.

Jerrie married Loy W. Moore Sr. on March 29, 1946.

She was known far and wide as "The Cake Lady" for her signature angel food cakes.

Jerrie loved Jesus and her family with a fierceness. She exuded joy and grace wherever she went. Jerrie was deeply loved and will be terribly missed. Her family is so thankful that, because she knew Jesus, they will see her again some day.

Jerrie is survived by two loving sons and daughters-in-law, Loy "J" and Kathy Moore Jr. of Advance and Allen and Lora Moore of Festus, Missouri. She leaves behind four grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Loy Moore, and four siblings.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.
