BENTON, Mo. -- Geraldine "Jane" Brock Milam, 64, of Lewisville, Texas, passed away Thursday, Dec. 16, 2004, in Lewisville, after fighting a long battle with multiple myeloma. She was born Aug. 9, 1940, in Benton, to Glenn Albert and Geraldine LeGrand Brock. Jane moved to Texas in 1957 where she graduated from Our Lady of Good Council in 1958...

BENTON, Mo. -- Geraldine "Jane" Brock Milam, 64, of Lewisville, Texas, passed away Thursday, Dec. 16, 2004, in Lewisville, after fighting a long battle with multiple myeloma.

She was born Aug. 9, 1940, in Benton, to Glenn Albert and Geraldine LeGrand Brock. Jane moved to Texas in 1957 where she graduated from Our Lady of Good Council in 1958.

Jane married Gary L. Milam Oct. 15, 1982, in Dallas, Texas.

She worked as a commercial line supervisor for Maxson-Mahoney-Turner Insurance, where she was employed 35 years.

Jane was dearly loved by many friends and family. She had a very special relationship with her daughter and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Jane was more a giver than a receiver and she will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her loving husband, Gary; a daughter, Kathryn Brock Tegtmeyer and husband Larry of Wichita Falls, Texas; two stepsons, Lance Lee Milam and Cam Lynn Milam, both of Morley, Mo.; her mother, Geraldine Brock Douglas of Plano, Texas; three sisters, Glenda Ruth Milam of Benton, Mary Hassenflug of Grand Prairie, Texas, Carla Salik of Lancaster, Texas; two brothers, LaRue Douglas of Pasadena, Texas, and Thomas Douglas of Plano.

Also surviving are four grandchildren, Megan Tegtmeyer, Cammie Milam, Andrew Tegtmeyer and Matthew Tegtmeyer; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Don and Gail Cockrell and Belle and David Powers; and her faithful dog, Rusty.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Michael Park, the staff of Lake Vista Cancer Center in Lewisville, and the staff at Medical Center Lewisville for their compassionate care.

The funeral was held Monday at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville. Burial was in Old Hall Cemetery.
