Gerald Welker

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Gerald M. Welker, 59, of Hazelwood, Mo., formerly of Perryville, died Friday, Sept. 22, 2006, at DePaul Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born Oct. 17, 1946, in St. Ann, Mo., son of Rudolph and Ida Schwein Welker.

Welker had worked at General Motors.

Survivors include his stepmother, Helen Welker of Perryville; three stepsisters, Mary Boxdorfer of Perryville, Ann Kielhafner of Chaffee, Mo., Connie Schrader of St. Peters, Mo.; and two stepbrothers, Leo Schott of Charleston, Mo., and John Schott of Chaffee.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and Friday from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Parish wake will be at 5 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church at Apple Creek, Mo., with the Rev. Tony Dattilo officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery at Apple Creek.
