THEBES, Ill. -- Gerald Schlamer, 79, of Thebes, Ill. died Monday, Aug. 15, 1994, at the Lutheran Home.
He was born in Cache, Ill., on Sept. 27, 1914, the son of Amil and Jennie Hewitt Schlamer. He and Nell Goode were married in 1956. She preceded him in death in 1983.
Schlamer, a veteran of World War II, was a farmer and retired painter.
Survivors include three brothers, Carl Schlamer of Wood River, Ill., and Dick and Louie Schlamer of Thebes, Ill.; and one sister, Emma Hinton of Olive Branch, Ill.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at the Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel between 5:30-7 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jim Monahan officiating. Burial will be at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Thebes.
