TAMMS, Ill. -- Gerald K. Robison, 82, of Thebes, Ill., died Sunday, April 11, 2004, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale, Ill.
Robison was born July 11, 1922, at Elco, Ill., the son of Ora A. Robison and Bernice Provo Robison. Robison married Anna L. Merriman Jan. 3, 1970, in St. Louis.
He was a veteran of World War II and a retired truck driver for the Jones Truck Line in St. Louis for 35 years, before retiring in 1990.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Kristen Robison Groves of Johnston City, Ill.; a stepson, Steve Davis of Montgomery, Texas; two stepdaughters, Dyanna McElroy of Carbondale, Ill., and Jane Gibson of Pevely, Mo.; a sister, Pauline Jones of Perryville, Mo.; three brothers, Hershel Robison of Qulin, Mo., Clarence Robison of St. Louis, and Donald Robison of Cairo, Ill.; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son and three brothers.
Friends may call between 3 and 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Jones Funeral Home in Tamms.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jimmie Monahan officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Thebes with full military honors given by the Pulaski County VFW Post 8891 of Mounds.
