BESSVILLE -- Gerald W. Robins, 54, of Delta, Colo., died Saturday, Dec. 13, 1997, in an automobile accident near Delta.
He was born April 23, 1943, at Bessville, son of the Rev. Quinton and Mabel Fulton Robins.
Robins was a graduate of St. Louis Police Academy. He served with the St. Louis Police Department three years, was city marshal at Lutesville seven years, and was with Bollinger County Sheriff's Department three years.
He moved to Colorado in 1980, and was a sergeant with State of Colorado Correctional Facility in Delta.
Survivors include a son, Gary Robins of Dandridge, Tenn.; five daughters, Holly Barfoot and Melissa Robins of Grand Junction, Colo., Dawn Crinklaw of Santa Rosa, Calif., Emily and Jessica Robins of Billings, Mont.; his father of Marble Hill; three brothers, Jerry Robins of St. Charles, James and Johnnie Robins of Marble Hill; a sister, Dianna Francis of Marble Hill; and two grandchildren.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 4-8 p.m. Friday.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Fred Ritter and Steven Francis officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
