SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. -- Gerald C. "Doc" Mayfield, 75, of Sedgewickville died Friday, April 29, 2005, at his home following a lengthy illness.
He was born July 13, 1929, at Mayfield, Mo., son of Homer H. and Marie Mayfield. He was retired as the head warehouseman for Atlas Plastic and a farmer. He was a member and deacon of the Little Whitewater Baptist church.
He and Elouise Cook were married Sept. 3, 1954, at Sedgewickville.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Randy Mayfield of Sedgewickville; two brothers, Jerry Mayfield of Patton, Mo., Donald H. Mayfield of Jackson; a sister, Verda Mae Angle of Jackson; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p .m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Patton and after 10 a.m. Monday at the Little Whitewater Baptist Church.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. James Collins officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sedgewickville.
