Gerald L. "Houch" Houchins, 65, of Blandville, Ky., and formerly of Cottage Hills, Ill., died Saturday, Nov. 26, 1994, at his home.
He was born July 5, 1929, the son of the late Wesley Houchins and Pauline Banum Houchins, who survives. On Aug. 30, 1974, he married Dorothy Reeves, who survives of Wycliffe, Ky.
He was a retired truck driver with Ferrell Gas Co. and a member of the Blandville Baptist Church.
Other survivors include a son, Gerald W. Houchins of Jackson; a daughter, Geraldine Johnson of Scott City; a stepson, Willard Rhodes of Cape Girardeau; and nine grandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. today at the Milnar and Orr Funeral Home in Wycliffe. Graveside funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Roselawn Cemetery in Bardwell, Ky., with the Rev. Larry Jackson officiating.
