Funeral for Georgia Witting of Cape Girardeau will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
Witting, 92, died Sunday, March 1, 1998, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Sept. 27, 1905, at Enon, daughter of Elijah and Alice Campbell Farris. She and Morris John Witting were married June 14, 1931, at Eldon. He died March 12, 1988.
Witting graduated from a business school in Jefferson City. She was a secretary in the Missouri Capitol several years.
She moved to Cape Girardeau in 1932 from Jefferson City. She was a member of First Baptist Church, and had been active in the church and Sunday School.
Survivors include three daughters, Betty Herman of Arlington, Texas, Pat Wilson of Kirkwood, Mary Kirkland of Crystal City; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
