GEORGIA W. ALLEN

CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Funeral service for Mrs. Georgia W. Allen, 416 Elm, will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The Rev. William Marshall will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 8 a.m. today.

Mrs. Allen, 71 years old, died Monday, Dec. 17, 1990, at Jackson Manor.

She was born Feb. 22, 1919, at Sturdivant, daughter of James and Mary Wright Hill. She married Herman Allen Dec. 13, 1947, in Cape. He died Oct. 21, 1963.

The Allens moved to Cape in 1940 from Puxico. She was employed at International Shoe Co. 38 years, retiring in 1981.

Survivors include two sons, Mearlin Allen of Cape, Harold Hill of Scott City; a daughter, Sue Sample of Cape; a sister, Onie Grim of Cape; 10 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
