CHAFFEE -- Funeral service for Georgia S. Buck of Chaffee will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Scott City. The Rev. Maurice Eagan will officiate, with burial in Oakdale Cemetery at Commerce.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today. An Eastern Star service will be held at 7:30.
Buck, 78, died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Nov. 8, 1913, at Commerce, daughter of Ward and Delia Hawkins Smith. She married Dorman Leslie Buck Nov. 25, 1931, in Chester, Ill. He died Nov. 3, 1972.
Buck was a member of Chaffee United Methodist Church and longtime organist, member of Order of Eastern Star, VFW Auxiliary, and Chaffee Prayer and Share Group.
Survivors include four sons, Kenneth Buck of Cape Girardeau, Vernon Buck of Long Beach, Calif., George Buck of Claremore, Okla., Stephen Buck of Caseyville, Ill.; four daughters, Jeanette Pentecost of St. Louis, Linda Volz of Marble Hill, Barbara McIntyre of Cape Girardeau, Carol James of Chaffee; a sister, Virginia Brock of Ferguson; 20 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren, and three great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, daughter and two sisters.
