Georgia E. Hobbs, 80, 226 Albert, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Feb. 13, 1917, in West Eminence, daughter of George and Minnie Bell Spencer Hamilton. She and Ivan Hobbs were married Aug. 23, 1983, in Cape Girardeau.
Hobbs grew up in Scott City, had lived in Indiana, and in Tamms and Olive Branch, Ill. She had lived in Cape Girardeau since 1979. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband; four brothers, Clyde Hamilton of Cape Girardeau, Homer Hamilton of Jackson, Don Hamilton of Renault, Ill., Raymond Hamilton of Cheyenne, Wyo.; and a sister, Naomi Phelps of Hammond, Ind.
She was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with Dr. Clayton Smith officiating. Burial will be in George Cemetery near Swinton.
