JACKSON -- Georgia G. Green, 87, of Jackson died Friday, Dec. 11, 1998, at Jackson Manor. She was born Feb. 25, 1911, at Whitewater, daughter of George and Eda Scholz Rhodes. She and Bennie F. Green were married in 1926. He died Feb. 14, 1981. Green worked in restaurants in the Jackson area most of her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church...

JACKSON -- Georgia G. Green, 87, of Jackson died Friday, Dec. 11, 1998, at Jackson Manor.

She was born Feb. 25, 1911, at Whitewater, daughter of George and Eda Scholz Rhodes. She and Bennie F. Green were married in 1926. He died Feb. 14, 1981.

Green worked in restaurants in the Jackson area most of her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Walker of Burfordville; a brother, Milford Rhodes of Crump; a sister, Arvella Estes of Jackson; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son and a grandson.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Fred Ritter officiating. Burial will be in Stroderville Cemetery.
