DEXTER -- Funeral service for Georgia Mae Davis of Dexter will be held at 9 a.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter. Pastor Ken Krippner will officiate, with burial in Lake Charles Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Louis.
Davis, 75, died Saturday, Feb. 24, 1996, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.
She was born Sept. 14, 1920, in Dixon, daughter of Floyd and Martha Brittain Lane. She and Alro T. Davis were married Nov. 11, 1939. He died June 30, 1987.
Davis lived most of her life in St. Louis County, moving to Dexter in 1982. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church here.
Survivors include four sons, Bob and Bill Davis of Dexter, Allen Davis of Wentzville, Richard Davis of St. Charles; two daughters, Paula Abernathy of Dexter, Nancy Davis of St. Charles; three brothers, Burr Lane of Veradale, Wash., Charles Lane of Granite City, Ill., Donald Lane of Aurora, Colo.; two sisters, Doris Knight of Chandler, Ind., Helen Hanshaw of Spokane, Wash.; 16 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter and two brothers.
