McCLURE, Ill. -- Georgia C. Lovell, 76, of McClure died Friday, June 12, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Aug. 5, 1921, at McClure, daughter of Henry L. and Melissa B. Porter Lamb.
She married Jasper C. Lovell on Sept. 24, 1943, at Cape Girardeau.
Mrs. Lovell was a member of McClure Pentecostal Church. She had been a cook at the McClure grade school, and had also worked in Cape Girardeau at Davis Electric, Mr. C's IGA, Cape LaCroix Nursing Home and Parkwood Manor.
Survivors include her husband; two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry C. and Diane Lovell of Anna, and Dennis R. and Michele Lovell of Effingham; a daughter and son-in-law, Janice L. and Ronnie Burford of McClure; three brothers, Eugene Lamb of Park Forest, Gerald Lamb of Tamms and Donnie Lamb of Rochelle; three sisters, Leona Marshall of Jonesboro, Isabel Jordan of Tamms and Elsie Lingle of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren, Alysia Kaufman, Jason Lovell, Julie Burford and Sarah Burford; and a great-grandson, Cameron Lovell.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Miller, and two infant sisters.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Ford & Sons Sprigg St. Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at McClure Pentecostal Church with the Revs. Greg Morrison and Ray Morrison officiating. Burial will follow in the Lindsey Cemetery.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Lindsey Cemetery Association or the American Cancer Society.
