SIKESTON, Mo. -- Georgia Cline Badart, 92, of Sikeston died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2000, at Hunter Acres Caring Center, where she had been a patient since Nov. 24.
She was born Aug. 21, 1908, in New Madrid, Mo., the daughter of Ben S. and Mary Jane Hart Mason. She married Elmer H. Cline in 1923. He preceded her in death. In 1955 she married Oscar J. "Frenchi" Badart, who died in 1981.
She had been a resident of Sikeston since 1947. Previously she had lived in New Madrid, where she owned and operated the Dixie Cafe from 1935 to 1947. She also was a Luziers cosmetics agent for 50 years.
She is survived by three daughters, Rosemary Trigg and Elaine Stafford, both of Sikeston, and Cricket Young of San Antonio, Texas; a brother, Henry Mason of Sikeston; two sisters, Kathleen Babcock of Paragould, Ark., and Tempe Johnson of New Madrid; five grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, a brother, two sisters and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, with Msgr. William Stanton officiating.
Burial will be at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
