George W. Boeker, 60, of 559 N. Spring St., died March 13, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. He was born Oct. 30, 19932, in Chicago, the son of Charles Boeker and Kathrine Nushardt Boeker. He married Jennie DeKoster on Sept. 3, 1948, in Henderson, Ky. She preceded him in death on Aug. 19, 1989...

George W. Boeker, 60, of 559 N. Spring St., died March 13, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Oct. 30, 19932, in Chicago, the son of Charles Boeker and Kathrine Nushardt Boeker. He married Jennie DeKoster on Sept. 3, 1948, in Henderson, Ky. She preceded him in death on Aug. 19, 1989.

He formerly worked as a bindery foreman for a manufacturer in Chicago, retiring and moving to Cape Girardeau in 1989. He, along with his wife and son, downed the former Mike's Red Hots restaurant in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include a son, Michael Boeker of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Jennie (Penny) Williams of Morley; a brother, Harry Boeker of San Diego, Calif; one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a brother and a granddaughter.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel.

Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Jim Matthews officiating.
