GEORGE SITTER

ANNA, Ill. -- George L. Sitter, 79, of Port Charlotte, Fla., and formerly of Anna, died Friday at Marion Memorial Hospital in Marion.

He was born March 25, 1919, in Union County, son of Lyman F. and Pearl Marie George Sitter.

On Dec. 15, 1943, he married Frances Hunsaker. She died Jan. 10, 1964.

Sitter is survived by a son, Don H. Sitter of Prattville, Ala.; a daughter, Michelle Enwright of Port Charlotte; two brothers, Lowell Sitter of Rotunda, Fla., and Douglas E. Sitter of Port Charlotte; and two grandchildren.

He was a salesman, a veteran of World War II, a member of China-Burma-India Association and the Hump Pilots Association and the Union Masonic Lodge 627 AF&M at Lick Creek. He was a member and former deacon at the First Presbyterian Church in Anna.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 tonight at the Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dewayne Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Anna Cemetery, with full military honors by the Anna VFW Post and the Cobden American Legion.
