George Reno

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- George Russell Reno, 85, of Poplar Bluff died Monday, March 1, 2010, at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.

Mr. Reno was born July 25, 1924, in Willow Springs, Mo.

He retired from Mississippi River Fuel Co.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include two sons, Danny Reno (Desma) of Jackson, George Franklin Reno (Delores) of Poplar Bluff; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Markey Reno of Caruthersville, Mo., Pokey Reno (Selma) of St. Charles, Mo., and Richard Reno of Poplar Bluff.

His wife, Beatrice; a son, David; parents, William and Ida; three sisters; and four brothers preceded him in death.

The funeral was held March 4 at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with burial in Memorial Gardens Cemetery, all in Poplar Bluff.
