DEXTER -- George Rawson, 68, of Festus died Thursday, Sept. 18, 1997, at his home.
He was born Dec. 31, 1928, in St. Louis, son of George Wilcox and Estelle Veronica Rooksen Rawson. He and Shirley McDaniel were married Feb. 18, 1963, in St. Louis.
Rawson retired as a purchasing agent with White-Rogers near St. Louis.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, George Rawson Jr. of St. Louis, Mark Brooks of Bonne Terre; four daughters, Travise Jackson of Hillsboro, April Kettler and Shelly Ashe of Festus, Lee Rawson of DeSoto; a brother, Ronald Rawson of Las Vegas, Nev.; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kimmswick.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter after noon Monday.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Dexter Cemetery, with the Rev. John Sheley officiating.
