PERRYVILLE, Mo. — George Richard Nanna, 73, of Perryville died Friday, Sept. 23, 2022, at SSM St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond Heights, Missouri.
He was born Jan. 11, 1949, in Cape Girardeau to Carlos and Rose Stitch Nanna.
George was a graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School and proudly served in both the U.S. Navy and Air Force during the Korean War after high school.
He was a welder by trade and retired from TG Missouri. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW in Perryville.
Survivors include his sister, Charlotte (Jim) Layman and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Carol (Gerald) Rellergert, Violet (Daniel) Wooden, Lillian (Bernard) Halter and Mary Ann Smith; and one brother, Fredrick Nanna.
A private family graveside service will take place at a later date at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
