JACKSON -- George Sterling "Bud" Miller, 82, of Crestwood died Thursday, May 25, 2000, at St. Joseph Hospital in Kirkwood.
He was born Sept. 18, 1917, at Egypt Mills, son of Dr. O.J. and Clara Bray Miller. He and Janice Hartle were married June 21, 1969, in Cape Girardeau.
Miller had been an inspector with Federal Grain Service, retiring in 1995. He was a member of Altenthal-Joerns American Legion Post 158.
He was a graduate of the former College High school in Cape Girardeau, and attended Southeast Missouri State University.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Michael Sievers of Chesterfield; a daughter, Sharon Godwin of DesPeres; a brother, Edison Miller of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Marie Wells of Decatur, Ill.; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Jimmie Corbin will officiate. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
