George McFall, 87, of Horn Lake, Miss., formerly of Scott City, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013.

He was born Oct. 23, 1926, in Illmo to Frank and Lula Burton McFall. George and Margaret Woolsey were married Sept. 9, 1949, and she preceded him in death on Dec. 22, 2007.

He worked as a plate inspector for Caterpillar Tractor and was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force.

Survivors include a daughter, Melba Skaggs of Hernando, Miss.; three sons, Dennis McFall of Horn Lake, George McFall Jr. of Olive Branch, Miss., and Robert Wilson of Salem, Mo.; three sisters, Kathryn Haney and Patty Rogers, both of Dexter, Mo., and Imogene Mansker of Allenville, Mo.; a brother, Jerry McFall of Dexter, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a son, two grandchildren, one brother and two sisters.

Visitation will be from noon until time of service Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. at the chapel. Burial with full military rites will be at Lightner Cemetery at Scott City.
