VILLA RIDGE, Ill. -- George Lee Richard, 76, of Olmsted, Ill. died Thursday, July 4, 1991, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center at Marion, Ill.
He was born May 19, 1915, at Olmsted, son of Henry Leon Richard and Lillie Kissman Richard.
He was a retired farmer.
He was member of the United Methodist Church of Olmsted, and a member of the American Legion Post in Villa Ridge. He was a World War II veteran.
He was married in Arkansas to Ella Mae Holmes. She survives.
Other survivors include George "Buddy" Richard of Orient,. Ill., and Johnny Richard of Tamms; daughter, Linda Pinkston of Cape Girardeau; brother, Leon Richard of Portland, Oregon; five sisters, Frieda Ivy and Merida Tempke, both of Olmsted, Rennia Miller of Pontiac, Mich., Elizabeth Strotz of Aurora, Ill., and Lena Miller of Decatur, Ill.; three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge, with the Rev. Jesse Bellamy officiating. Burial will be the National Cemetery near Mound City.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Sunday.
