JONESBORO, Ill. -- George Louis Willyerd, 67, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 1993, at John Cochran VA Hospital in St. Louis. He was born May 3, 1926, in Jonesboro, son of Louis Edward and Vinnie Cantrell Willyerd. Willyerd was a retired truck driver, and member of Anna VFW Post 3455. He was a veteran of World War II...

JONESBORO, Ill. -- George Louis Willyerd, 67, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 1993, at John Cochran VA Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born May 3, 1926, in Jonesboro, son of Louis Edward and Vinnie Cantrell Willyerd.

Willyerd was a retired truck driver, and member of Anna VFW Post 3455. He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include a son, Gary Willyerd of Madisonville, Ky.; a daughter, Donna Reynolds of Anna; his mother of Jonesboro; a brother, James Willyerd of O'Fallon, and three grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Norris and Son Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Casper Cemetery near Anna.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
