BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- George Edward Crest, 91, of Bloomfield died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, at Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter, Mo.
He was born June 1, 1909, at Concord, Mo., son of George and Earmae Heflin Crest. He and Lavina Porter were married March 7, 1936.
Crest lived in the Bloomfield community most of his life. He was a member of Beech Grove General Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Donald Crest of Bangor, Mich.; a daughter, Bernice Payton of Dexter; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by five infant children, a brother, and a sister.
Friends may call at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery.
