VILLA RIDGE, Ill. -- George A. Tierney, 77, of Palmdale, Calif., died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1993, at Lancaster Hospital in Palmdale. He was born Nov. 25, 1915, in Flint, Mich. VILLA RIDGE, Ill. -- George A. Tierney, 77, of Palmdale, Calif., died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1993, at Lancaster Hospital in Palmdale.
He was born Nov. 25, 1915, in Flint, Mich. He married the former Garnett Bonner of Villa Ridge.
Tierney was employed by the General Motors Chevrolet Division in Flint for 31 years. He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Palmdale.

Survivors include his wife; a stepson, Rick Pamplin of Palmdale, and a stepgrandson.
Funeral service was held Saturday at First Lutheran Church. Private burial will be next week at Green Lawn Memorial Gardens here.
Jones Funeral Home at Villa Ridge is in charge of arrangements.
